Sanpete Road Race

Middle of the Race

Finish of the race. Tyler didn't win, but he did really well and was in three separate breakaways including a solo break. Yay most aggressive rider!

Finally Able to Blog!

It has been such a crazy week this week! I have been dying to blog and haven't been able to or had the time to. On Monday morning, Braelyn and I loaded up in the car and left for Stansbury Park/Tooele. She did so good on the way down. She slept almost the whole way and didn't fuss at all! We got to Trinity's house and unloaded. She loved seeing Braelyn! Then we found out that the hospital was full so Kelsee couldn't go in til Wednesday, which was the whole reason I went to Tooele in the first place on Monday. Rather than drive home and drive back, I stayed at Trin's house and helped pack and watch the girls. We did quite a bit while we were there. We went to Sweet Pea and I found a couple cute dresses for Braelyn for $10. Another day we went to the D.I. and I found a winter jacket, a dress, and a cute little vest for less than $10. We ate at Emily's house and Livvy and Gavin loved playing with Braelyn. Bekah and Korah couldn't get enough of her either. On Wednesday, Tyler decided he missed me too much, so he came to Tooele and surprised me with a hotel stay at the Hampton--my favorite hotel. Trinity watched Braelyn for us. He still had to workt he next day, so he left early in the morning, but I got to sleep in and spent some time at the pool. On Thursday night, Kelsee ended up having to have a C-section so I sent Trin to the hospital and put the girls to bed. When Trin got back, we stayed up until 3 am just talking. It was fun catching up with her. On Friday (I was originally planning on coming home on Wednesday) I went to go see baby Caydence. She was five days early, 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and 20 inches long. I left for home on Friday afternoon and once I got home, I decided that Braelyn and I would go with Tyler and his dad for the bike race the next day, so we left again at 8:30 pm for Redmond. We stayed the night at Grandma June's house and went to the race Saturday morning. It was a beautiful day and Tyler did really well. I was so proud of him. After dinner, we headed for home and got here about 10 pm last night. My bed really missed me. As soon as I climbed in, I fell asleep and didn't wake up until 8 this morning. So there is my crazy and eventful week! It makes me tired just writing about it!!

Braelyn happy as could be while we were shopping at the D.I. I had to get a picture for Daddy!

Braelyn sticking her toungue out at Mama during Tyler's bike race. Such a cutie!

While we were in Redmond, we made a trip to Salina where my Great-Grandma Mickelsen lived. I took a picture of what used to be her house. It's changed a little bit, but the memories are still the same. I haven't been inside since November of 1999. I love you Grandma Bernice! She is the grandma that I share a birthday with and whom I am named after.

We must have wore Braelyn out this week. She has slept a ton today! Poor girl scratched her eye after church today :( so sad!!

Shopping with Grandma

Yesterday Tyler had a Simply Mac Century Ride and afterwards there was a club social. It was a lot of fun. Braelyn woke up at 7:30 and ate. Then we got everything ready to go to grandma's. Since we were going to have to go to Morgan for the social, I figured why not go up earlier and spend time with my mom. At 9:00 we got everything loaded up in the car and headed out (Tyler had left at 6:30 so that he could go the ride that started at 7:00. There is construction on the freeway between Mountain Green and Morgan, and at one point you have to go over the bumpies on the side of the road that are if you fall asleep while driving. Braelyn just giggled. She thought that was the funnest thing. So every few minutes, I would go over the bumpies again just so she would stay happy. It was pretty cute I have to say :) When we got to Grandma and Grandpa Kippen's house, I found out that my mom was heading to Ogden to get school supplies, so I decided that Braelyn and I would ride with her. It was better than sitting t my parents' house doing nothing. It was Braelyn's first experience at Walmart. Normally Tyler watches her while I go to the store for grocery shopping. She kept looking around and all the people and the bright colors. She even got a present! I bought her a play mat with the toys. She loves it. I held up the pink one and the red one and she stared at the red one. It must have been more attention getting. So that is the one that I bought. We went to the social and talked with all of our cycling buddies. After we went back to Grandma's house and played on the play mat and went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Mickelsen. Braelyn slept the whole time. We had a really fun day and wore Braelyn out. She went to bed at 10 pm and slept until 8 this morning. What a good little baby that we have! At church she was very well behaved. I couldn't have asked for a better baby! She is our little angel!!!

Braelyn's Fit

I know it is bad to laugh at my hungry baby girl, but I couldn't help it. Today I fed Braelyn then we went to visit Grandma Kippen at the hospital. Don't worry--that's where she works. After we saw Grandma, we went to the Weber State Bookstore to pick up some thing for Grandma. When we got home, Braelyn was screaming because she was hungry. I pulled her out of the carseat and changed her diaper, which made her happy but only for a minute. I made me a sandwich because I needed to eat as well. She had scooted to the edge of the blanket by that time. She was in the middle to begin with.

The I got me some ice water to drink while I fed her. In the minute that I got my water, she had scooted even more. I couldn't help but laugh. I know you may think that I am an aweful mom for letting her scream, but she was going to anyway, so why not hurry and take care of myself at the same time. I have to admit it was really cute, and it was the first real tantrum she had thrown, so I had to post about it.

I can't believe she is getting so big. The time has gone by so fast. I am loving every minute of being a mom, and Tyler is so wonderful when he gets home from work. He takes her from me and plays with her and usually feeds her. He puts her to bed every night. She sleeps much better when daddy puts her to bed. We love our little munchkin!

Busy Bodies

Today was a busy day for Tyler and me. We did yardwork, laundry, and cleaned. Tyler came home from work early, so it was really nice to have him for more of the afternoon. We have renters living in the basement now, so I had to work on doing all the laundry in one day rather than doing half and half like I normally do. Me and Braelyn worked worked worked all day on folding and washing laundry. Tyler mowed the back lawn while I raked up the grass clippings and picked the fruit. We now have plums and a few apples. We should get peaches by the fall as well. Then I mowed the front lawn while Tyler played with Braelyn. She is our little outdoors girl. She loves to be outside.

Braelyn always makes me smile when I stick her in her crib. She loves her mobile and it makes her so happy to listen to the music and watch the animals move in circles. It made me laugh so of course I had to take a video of it! Especially since she was wearing one of my favorite outfits today!

Tyler's Bike Race

Tyler did so well at his bike race tonight. He got into a breakaway and even won one of the prize laps. I was so proud of him. Braelyn and I cheered really loud! I was especially excited because he won me free one hour Structura massage. :) YAY!! He took third place! I was so happy for him! He really deserved it. I wish he could have won, but everyone is so fast and my number one priorities are his safety and happiness. It is so much fun to watch him race!
After the race, we came home and gave Braelyn her bath. She absoutely loves her bath. And guess what?! She somewhat giggled for Mama. It wasn't nearly as loud or as long as when she giggled for Tyler, but STILL!! I was so happy! She is our little angel and I don't know what I would do without her!! We love her so much! MAMA AND DADDY LOVE YOU MONKEY!!

Silly Goose

Braelyn was being such a silly goose today. I put her in her swing and she twisted herself so that she was sideways. When I noticed this, I took a picture, of course, then fixed it. A couple minutes later, I heard some cute little coos so I went to check on her. She had twisted herself again, even though I had buckled her in. I smiled at her and said, "what did you do?" to her and she just got a huge smile on her face. It was almost as if she was teasing me. "Haha mama, now you have to come fix me again. Neiner, Niener, Niener." Then she fell asleep in her swing and hr bow fell down over her eyes. So Cute! I was so proud of myself today. I cleaned the living room, dining room, and kitchen. I ran the dishwasher and unloaded it, washed the dishes, and fly-ladied my sink. I windexed my appliances (they are black and I discovered that windex works better than clorox wipes) and mirrors, and swept my entire house. All I will have to do tomorrow is mop my kitchen, dining room, and living room. Now tonight we are heading to Tyler's bike race. Don't worry, pictures will be posted later tonight! Thanks Karli for helping me to realize I want to BLOG!! Two days, and I'm already having a ball!!
